David Lever was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He moved to Baltimore in 2009 and received his BFA in painting from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013. Lever's work is rooted in observation and representation, and explores the connection he has to his surroundings, along with the natural rhythms found in nature and the everyday. His work has been exhibited around Downtown Lancaster and Baltimore City.
          Selected exhibitions include: A New Home in the Leake Studio at the MICA Main Building in Baltimore in 2013, The Portrait curated by Mark Karnes at Fox 2 Gallery in Baltimore in 2013, Pushing Color curated by Sangram Majumdar at Fox 2 Gallery in 2012, an untitled show curated by Lee Lovett at Red Raven Art Company in Lancaster in 2012, Expectations curated by Barry Nemett at Fox 2 Gallery in 2011, and Potluck curated by Jordan Faye Block at Jordan Faye Contemporary in Baltimore in 2010. He was also the featured emerging artist for the month of May in 2012 at Red Raven Art Company.
